Motor Service
The cornerstone of the service program at Jeff's Marine is the maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of Yamaha outboards. Toward this end, we have three full-time mechanics, all of whom regularly attend Yamaha service schools for advanced training in changing outboard technology.
This team is supervised by our full-time service and parts manager, Darrin Richardson, himself a former outboard mechanic here. When he's not in the repair shop, Darrin maintains one of Maine's largest computerized inventory of parts for both current and older Yamaha motors.
In fact, however, we also work on outboards of other brands like Mercury, Evinrude, Suzuki, Tohatsu—and especially Honda (which we used to sell). Although sterndrives (inboard/outboards) occupy a shrinking niche in the boating market, we continue to repair units from manufacturers like Mercruiser, Volvo Penta, and OMC.

Boat Service
Jeff's Marine has a full-time yard crew consisting of two experienced boat handlers, a fabricator, and a fiberglass/paint specialist. Thanks to their skills and creativity, we can handle a wide range of tasks ranging from transom replacement and gelcoat repairs, to building custom add-ons like storage seats and casting platforms, to boat pick-up and delivery, to cleaning, bottom painting, and full "detailing."
Backing up our personnel is an arsenal of boat-handling equipment, including:- A heavy duty forklift with an array of specialized slings
- Two large, adjustable hydraulic trailers
- Three conventional roller trailers of varying sizes
- Four heavy-duty trucks for towing
- A fleet of wheeled dollies and lifts
